Completion Spring 2021

Montreal graffiti artist Fluke was commissioned by Spear Street Capital for artwork on the developer’s revamping by Kasian Architecture and Interior Design, of three buildings in Calgary on 11th and 12th  Avenues SW, known as The District at Beltline.  With its proximity to: East Village, the new Central Library, Inglewood and the Esker Foundation, Olympic Plaza with its Glenbow Museum and Arts Commons, and the soon-to-be revitalized BMO Centre and Saddledome, The District at Beltline  will become an invigorating, year-round social and cultural hub at the eastern end of the Beltline.

Fluke's art is a reflection of his journey as a Montreal street artist. His unique approach to merging street art and  contemporary imagery, as well as his unconventional methods and techniques, are what place him as a Canadian front runner on the international street art scene. Today, Fluke works closely with photographers to create worlds that later become his paintings. The “ribbons” and giant brush strokes found in his work are a nod to the graffiti letters and textures that tie him to his roots as an artist.
